Southern Kings Director of Rugby Alan Solomons has revealed that wing Siyanda Grey and lock Steven Sykes will miss this weekend's Super Rugby match against the Stormers.
Both players sustained injured injuries in the Kings 22-34 Super Rugby loss to the Cheetahs on Saturday.
"Siyanda has a hamstring injury and will be out for three weeks, while Sykes has sustained a shoulder injury that will see him out for four weeks," Solomons told Sport24.
Solomons added that props Kevin Buys had a slight rib injury and that Schalk Ferreira has a stiff back. Both players are being assessed by the medical team and undergoing a bit of rehabilitation, but would be eligible for selection.
Solomons said that the rest of his players were suffering from the usual knocks, bumps and bruises after the match and that at this stage there were no further concerns.
Winger Grey came off the field in the 54th minute and was replaced by Shane Gates.
Former Shark Sykes played for the duration of the Super Rugby even though he hurt his shoulder in the 67th minute of the march.
Sykes was forced to stay on and play injured as the Kings had already emptied there replacements bench and had he come off the Kings would have been reduced to 14 men for the final 13 minutes.
