The Melbourne Rebels have chosen to withdraw Wallabies fullback from selection for their final Super Rugby match this weekend against the Highlanders.
The Rebels released a statement saying that following the third Wallabies Test against the British and Irish Lions they felt it was best that Beale continued his off field program in Sydney.
Chief Executive, Rob Clarke, spoke of the Club's ongoing responsibility in prioritising Kurtley's welfare above the immediate needs of the Club.
"The focus and priority at the Rebels has always been Kurtley's welfare," said Clarke.
"All parties agree that it is in Kurtley's best interests for that to continue.
"The decision not to select Kurtley in the Rebels' final match will allow him to complete the next phase of his program, before potential Wallaby selection for the August 17 Bledisloe Cup match."
Wallabies James O'Connor and Nick Phipps both returned to Melbourne for their final week's preparation, alongside retiring foundation Rebels prop Nic Henderson and departing International marquee players Ged Robinson and Gareth Delve.
