Out of the last ten Super Rugby matches between the Crusaders and the Stormers the Stormers have won just two matches.

The Stormers travel to Christchurch this weekend on a positive note having won their first Super Rugby match this year.

Even though the Crusaders have yet to win a match they will start the contest as heavy favourites - partially due to their outstanding record against the Stormers at home.

Overall the Crusaders have played the Stormers 18 times since 1998 and in those 18 matches the Crusaders have won 14 times and lost four times. Interestingly the teams have met in two Semi-finals and both were won by the Crusaders.

The Crusaders therefore have a record of winning 78% of their matches against the Stormers across all venues.

The average score when the Crusaders play the Stormers is : Crusaders 29 Stormers 20.

This weekend the Crusaders have home advantage as they have done on 8 occasions. In all of those matches the Crusaders have been the winners and the closest the Stormers got to the Crusaders was an 11-7 loss in 2009.

In 2000 the Crusaders moved a match to Nelson and won 47-31 so the teams have played each other 7 times in Christchurch.

Having never lost to the Stormers at home the Crusaders will be confident in securing their first Super Rugby victory this year on the weekend.

The average score when the Crusaders host the Stormers is : Crusaders 32 Stormers 18.

In terms of selections the Crusaders have made sweeping changes to the team that lost to the Blues. In all they have made seven changes.

One of those changes was the loss of All Black captain Richie McCaw and Matt Todd comes into the team in his place.

A number of the Crusaders selections are rotations such as Willi Heinz starting at halfback and Andy Ellis being named on the bench.

An interesting selection is Israel Dagg starting on one wing and Johnny McNicholl on the other with Colin Slade at fullback.

The Stormers have made four changes for this week but they have suffered a double blow as Rynhardt Elstadt and flanker Siya Kolisi have both been ruled out but they have been able to include fit-again De Kock Steenkamp and Schalk Burger.

Demetri Catrakilis retain the starting nunber 10 jersey and partners Nic Groom but the former will no doubt be replaced in the second half as the Stormers will want to get Peter Grant on for some game time as soon as possible.

Auckland born former Chiefs winger Sailosi Tagicakibau is set to make his Stormers debut this weekend if he comes of the replacements bench.

Worryingly for the Stormers the Crusaders last defeat to a South African team was almost 13 years ago - on 22 April 2001, when the Cats won by 32-31.

Since then, the Crusaders have won 32 successive home matches against teams from South Africa.

The Bookies have given the Stormers a 12 point start for this Match - with an offer of a FREE $150 BET. The Crusaders have such a strong record at home that we have to back them. The Crusaders should win by 10.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 2/HD.

Average score: Crusaders 29 Stormers 20
