The Cheetahs have named a team with three changes and one positional switch to play the Reds in Brisbane on Friday without Coenie Oosthuizen.
Springbok prop Oosthuizen suffered a neck injury in last week's loss to the Rebels and a scan has revealed damage.
Oosthuizen has therefore been ruled out of the Cheetahs tour of Australia and New Zealand and is expected to be sideline for up to six weeks.
Maks van Dyk comes into the Cheetahs starting line up this week in place of the injured Oosthuizen and Rossouw de Klerk has flown out and joins the team as replacement.
Twenty-four-year-old De Klerk made his Super Rugby debut for the Bulls against the Highlanders in 2010 and has played 14 Super Rugby matches. He also play 7 Currie Cup matches for the Cheetahs in 2013.
Cheetahs winger Raymond Rhule has not recovered from an ankle injury in time to play this week so Willie le Roux shifts from fullback to wing as cover.
Hennie Daniller comes in to replace Le Roux at fullback while Rayno Benjamin replaces Cornal Hendricks on the right wing.
Flanker Lappies Labuschagne has however recovered from an Achilles injury and retains his place in the starting line up.
