The Bulls have announced that they have concluded successful negotiations with Japanese club Yamaha Jubilo to allow former Bulls captain Dewald Potgieter to rejoin the Bulls for the Super Rugby season.
Potgieter received the necessary release clearances from his club and will be available to the Bulls immediately for the rest of the regular Super Rugby season.
This means that at this stage if the Bulls qualify for the Super Rugby play offs they will have to negotiate a further release for Potgieter as the play offs are not part of the regular season.
"Dewald will be available to play with immediate effect and till the 11th of July, after which he will have to return to Japan for their pre-season," High Performance Manager, Xander Janse van Rensburg confirmed.
"We would really like to thank Yamaha for their co-operation in this regard and the professional attitude they have shown during our negotiations."
"It is wonderful to have Dewald back and I know he will contribute tremendously to our campaign," Janse van Rensburg said.
Potgieter has played for the Bulls in 66 Super Rugby matches before his departure to Japan in August last year.
