The Bulls have suffered a double blow for the rest of their tour of New Zealand and Australia as Deon Stegmann and Dewald Potgieter have been ruled out.
Both players were forced from the field in the Bulls 25-20 loss to the Hurricanes in Napier on Saturday.
Team doctor, Dr Org Strauss confirmed that both players will return to South Africa on Sunday.
Wimpie van der Walt will be flown over to replace the injured Stegman, whilst a reshuffle amongst the forwards will see Grant Hattingh move to loose forward as replacement for Potgieter and Victor Matfield set to replace Hattingh as lock cover.
Matfield and the Bulls had agreed that he would act as coach only on their tour this year unless the Bulls were hit by injuries.
The former Springbok had been hoping for a four week break on the tour but he will now have to play.
Grant Hattingh can provide cover at flank and No.8 for the rest of the tour.
The Bulls will also be concerned about Jacques-Louis Potgieter who left the field in the second half after taking a knock early in the first half.
