Wallabies and Brumbies winger Joe Tomane has been ruled out of Australia's three-Test-series against France in June after fractured his cheekbone playing for the Brumbies.
Tomane suffered the injury playing in Canberra for the Brumbies against the Sharks. The Brumbies won the match 16-9 but have lost Tomane for up to two months.
Twenty-four-year-old Tomane clashed heads with his Brumbies and Wallabies team mate Ben Alexander and had to leave the field early in the first half.
Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham said they are hoping Tomane does needs surgery and they hope to have him back for the play offs.
"It's not displaced too badly," Larkham told AAP.
"At this stage it doesn't need surgery. But we're not 100 percent (sure)."
