Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the Bloemfontein based Cheetahs and the Canberra based Brumbies the the Cheetahs have won one.

The last time these teams met was in July last year in Canberra when the Cheetahs made their first ever appearance in a play off. The Brumbies won and went on to reach the final.

Overall the Cheetahs have played the Brumbies 8 times since 2006 and the Cheetahs have won twice.

That gives the Cheetahs a record of winning 25% of their matches against the Brumbies.

The average score when the Cheetahs play the Brumbies is : Cheetahs 26 Brumbies 35.

This weekend the match will be played in Bloemfontein where the teams have met three times.

In those three matches the Cheetahs have won twice and the Brumbies once. This gives the Cheetahs a record of winning 66% of their home matches against the Brumbies.

The average score when the Cheetahs play the Brumbies in Bloemfontein is : Cheetahs 37 Brumbies 32.

The Cheetahs are a very different side to the one that played against the Brumbies in July last year. In 2014 the Cheetahs have played 12 matches and have won 2 and drawn one.

The 2014 Cheetahs have won 17% of their matches while the Cheetahs of 2013 won 59% of their matches.

The Cheetahs have played 6 matches in Bloemfontein this year and they have won two, lost three and drawn one.

The Brumbies have played 5 five matches away from home in 2014 and they have won three and lost two giving them a record of winning 60% of their away matches. Out of interest they have won 83% of their home matches.

In terms of selection the Brumbies have been given a big boost with the return of winger Henry Speight who will make his first appearance since round nine. Speight replaces Joe Tomane who is injured and South African born JP Smith returns to the bench in place of Ruaidhri Murphy in an otherwise unchanged team from the one which beat the Sharks in Canberra last Saturday.

Meanwhile Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has made two change to the backline and one change in the forwards. All of the changes are rotations of players on and off the bench.

In the backs, Cornal Hendricks on to the wing for Raymond Rhule who drops down to the replacements bench. At scrumhalf Shaun Venter and Sarel Pretorius change places with Venter starting.

Meanwhile in the forwards Willem Serfontein has been promoted from the bench to the starting line up to replace Waltie Vermeulen who drops down to the bench.

The Bookies have given the Cheetahs a 5 point start for this Match - with an offer of a FREE $250.00 Bet. Looking at the overall standings the Cheetahs are 14th place while the Brumbies are in third place. Even though the Cheetahs have home advantage the Brumbies shouldn't struggle too much to win in Bloemfontein. The Brumbies should win by 8.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 4/HD on the Red Button.
