Cheetahs fullback Hennie Daniller will leave Bloemfontein and join Italian club Zebre at the end of the Super Rugby season.
The Cheetahs reached the play offs for the first time in their Super Rugby history last year but are now so low down in the standings they cannot qualify this season.
Daniller joins a rapidly expanding group of South African rugby players who have been lured to Europe and Japan by much larger salaries than they can achieve playing in South Africa.
The uncapped fullback will join former Cheetahs lock Andries Ferreira at Zebre who are based in the northern Italian city Parma.
Daniller played for the Bulls and the Boland Cavaliers in the Currie Cup before joining the Cheetahs six years ago.
