The Blues have revealed that Charles Piutau has returned to running and is in line to play in their Round 17 Super Rugby fixture against the Western Force in Perth on June 28.
After a week away last week, the Blues (minus their All Blacks and New Zealand Under 20 representatives) are back at training this week to prepare for a match against the Taniwha Northland Barbarians in Whangarei on Friday.
Piutau suffered an MCL strain and has taken his knee brace off and will progress to doing some straight line running this week.
Francis Saili (high ankle sprain) is also progressing well and will get some limited game time for the Blues Development team next week.
Lolagi Visinia suffered a low grade hamstring strain against the Hurricanes and will not play against the Barbarians on Friday but should be available to play against the Force.
Jackson Willison (hamstring strain) is progressing well and will get some game time against the Barbarians on Friday.
