Following the completion of the Super Rugby regular season fixtures the final standings and the qualifiers for the play offs have been decided.

The top six teams who qualify for the Super Rugby play offs are as follows.

Qualifying Super Rugby teams
1. Waratahs
2. Crusaders
3. Sharks
4. Brumbies
5. Chiefs
6. Highlanders

The Waratahs and the Crusaders finished the regular season in first and second place so they have a bye next week.

The Super Rugby qualifiers will be contested as follows.  

Qualifier A
Date : Saturday 19 July
Match : Brumbies vs Chiefs in Canberra
Kick Off  : (19:40 local, 21:40 NZST, 11:40 SAST, 09:40 GMT)

Round robin result : Brumbies 41 Chiefs 23 in Canberra (Rd.11)

Qualifier B
Date : Saturday 19 July
Match : Sharks vs Highlanders in Durban
Kick Off : (17:05 local, 03:05* NZT, 01:05* AEST, 15:05 GMT)

Round robin result : Sharks 18 Highlanders 34 in Durban (Rd.11)

Sunday morning 20 July in Australia/New Zealand

BYE : Waratahs and Crusaders

The Waratahs and Crusaders return after the Super Rugby qualifiers and host the Semi-finals.

The Super Rugby Semifinals are as follows.

Weekend of 25th and 26th of July. To be confirmed after the qualifiers.

Match : Crusaders vs TBA in Christchurch (AMI Stadium)
Kick off : 1935 local

Semi-final 1

Should any Super Rugby Finals Series match end with the scores level, the following will apply until a winner is determined:

a) Extra time played in two periods of 10 minutes
b) Sudden death extra time in a period of up to 10 minutes
