Apart from the return of a number of their World Cup reconditioned All Blacks, the Blues could also have utility back Anthony Tuitavake in the selection mix when they decide on the team to face the Waratahs on Friday.

Tuitavake, who hasn’t played since injuring his hamstring against the Reds in Week Four, will face a fitness test this week before a decision is made on his availability for the Super 14 Round Eight encounter with the Australian franchise in Auckland.

Tuitavake started running at training, but hasn’t been able to work at full speed.

At least one of the reconditioned All Blacks, wing Joe Rokocoko, is in doubt. He injured his ankle in a warm-up match against a Chiefs selection last week – the same game in which All Black fullback Mils Muliaina fractured his fifth metatarsal in his foot.

However, the Blues will be able to call on All Blacks Tony Woodcock, Keven Mealamu and Ali Williams this week.
