The half time score between the Cheetahs and the Blues in Bloemfontein was 25-20.

Two tries from Bevan Fortuin, one each from Gaffie Du toit and Giscard Pieters had already given the Cheetahs a bonus point. The others scores came from a conversion from Willem de Waal and a drop goal from Du Toit.

For the Blues Brent Ward and Luke McAlistair both scored tries in the first half. McAlistair also converted both tries and slotted two penalties.

The second half was much better for the Blues as they managed to score two tries. One from Nacewa and one from Rokococko. McAlistair continued his kicking form converting both tries. The major improvement came in containing the Cheetahs stopping them from running away with the game.

With seconds to go the Blues led 28-34 but as the hooter blew the referee Scott Young blew for a penalty to the Cheetahs which they ran and after several phases the ball went to Tiaan Liebenburg player who dived over for the try.

It was then up to Meyer Bosman to kick his team to victory but the ball went to the side of the posts and the final score Cheetahs 33 Blues 34.

The Blues will pick up 5 points and the Cheetahs pick up two.
