Canberra Super Rugby franchise the Brumbies have suffered a blow ahead of their 2017 Super Rugby Quarter Final as backs Kyle Godwin and Aidan Toua will both miss the play offs after suffering season-ending injuries against the Reds on Friday.
Toua has been ruled out for between four to six weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 High Ankle Sprain whilst Godwin will likely miss up to three months after being taken off in the second half with a knee injury.
“We are disappointed for the guys who have done so much for us this year,” Head Coach Stephen Larkham commented.
“The boys may not be able to take to the park in Finals but they will certainly take part in the preparation with the rest of the team.”
Meanwhile, Brumbies flanker Chris Alcock sustained a deep gash to his thigh at Suncorp Stadium and had the stitched up post-match but is expected to be in contention for the knockout game at GIO Stadium on Friday 21 July.
Rory Arnold suffered a stinger to the shoulder but has recovered well and will also be in the selection mix for the last-eight clash.
