The second Super Rugby match on Saturday in Round 14 in is the Australian Capital Canberra where the Brumbies host the Sunwolves.

This will be the first time that the Brumbies have played the Japanese Super Rugby franchise so there are no past records to look at form.

The Brumbies are second in the Australian Super Rugby conference while the Sunwolves are last in the Africa 1 Conference.

In the overall standings the Brumbies are in 10th place and the Sunwolves are placed 17th.

The Brumbies have rotated their squad for this match and Tomas Cubelli has been rested with Michael Dowsett coming into the starting line up at half back.

Ruan Smith comes in to replace Ben Alexander at tighthead prop and Robbie Coleman returns from injury at inside centre. The Brumbies starting front row features Scott Sio, co-captain Stephen Moore and Smith.

The starting locks are Rory Arnold and Sam Carter, while Scott Fardy, David Pocock and Jarrad Butler start in the backrow. In the backs co-captain Christian Lealiifano will start outside Dowsett at flyhalf.

Robbie Coleman returns to the side at inside centre after missing the win over the Rebels with a hamstring strain. Tevita Kuridrani will start at outside centre while James Dargaville and Nigel Ah Wong will start on the wings. Aidan Toua retains the fullback position.

The Sunwolves have also rung the changes and regular captain Shota Horie returns to the starting side after a couple of rounds on the replacements bench. The Sunwolves have also rotated a number of their first choice starters such as Tusi Pisi and Riaan Viljoen to the bench.

At halfback Yuki Yatomi starts ahead of Atsushi Hiwasa who drops out of the squad. Horie’s return means that there is a new front row made up of Shinnosuke Kakinaga, Takeshi Kizu and Masataka Mikami at loosehead.

Akihito Yamada changes sides on the wing and Mifiposeti Paea starts in the number 14 jersey. In the second row Hitoshi Ono starts in place of Timothy Bond.

Daisuke Inoue comes in on the replacements bench for his Super Rugby debut.

The Bookies have given the Sunwolves a 28 point start for this Match – with an offer of up to $200 in Bonus bets. The Brumbies have the depth, experience and home advantage in this match so they shouldn’t struggle too much. The Brumbies should win this by 21 points or more.
