Pretoria Super Rugby franchise the Bulls have released prop Dean Greyling so that he can join French Top 14 club Oyonnax with immediate effect.

At the club he will eventually join up with another South African, current Kings captain Steven Sykes, who will be on his way at the beginning of next season.

“Dean has been a great stalwart for us and we decided not to stand in his way to go to France, where I know he will be successful, so we granted him an early release,” Blue Bulls High Performance manager Xander Janse van Rensburg confirmed.

“We want to thank him for his loyal services over a decade and wish him well in France.”

Greyling played for the Bulls 67 times and 50 times for the Blue Bulls.

He also represented the Springboks in three Tests.
