The Bulls will play the next six weeks of Super Rugby without midfielder Burger Odendaal as he has been forced to undergo surgery.

South African Super Rugby broadcasters SuperSport have reported that Odendaal was injured in the Bulls 23-18 victory over the Cheetahs.

Odendaal injured his quad and has been been forced to undergo an operation which will keep him out of Super Rugby for six weeks.

The Bulls depth will be tested in the coming weeks as they had already lost fullback Warrick Gelant although they did bring on former Kings and Sharks fullback SP Marais for his Bulls debut against the Cheetahs.

The Bulls play the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth this weekend.
