The fourth match in Super Rugby Rd.16 on Saturday is in Pretoria where the Bulls host the Sunwolves at Loftus Versfeld.

The Bulls and the Sunwolves have already met once this season and the Bulls won the match 30-27 in Singapore.

Both teams scored three tries in the match and was in Round 5. The Bulls struggled in the match but then pulled away at the death.

After that match the Bulls went on to win five matches in a row but in recent weeks they have been wobbling and have suffered back to back losses.

The Sunwolves recent form is not that strong either as they have now lost three in a row.

The Sunwolves have made a couple of changes for this week. They will be without regular captain Shota Horie and star flyhalf Tusi Pisi again.

Yu Tamura starts at 10 with Harumichi Tatekawa as captain. Hajime Yamashita comes into the backline on the wing while at half back Yuki Yatomi comes back into the starting line up pushing Kaito Shigeno to the replacements.

In the forwards Hitoshi Ono replaces Fa’atiga Lemalu in the second row and Keita Inagaki comes in for Masataka Mikami

The Bulls have captain Adriaan Strauss back for this week after he was rested last week against the Jaguares. The return of Strauss, in place of Bandise Maku, comes in an overhaul of the front row from the team that delivered a disappointing result in Argentina.

Prop Pierre Schoeman will start at loosehead in place of injured Lizo Gqoboko while Werner Kruger will start at tighthead in place of Marcel van der Merwe. Schoeman’s seven appearances thus far in the competition all came as impact player.

The inclusion of Werner Kruger will see the last appearance at Loftus Versfeld of the stalwart, who played 118 times for the Bulls.

The loose trio combination is also new. Renaldo Bothma starts at no8, with Jannes Kirsten and Lappies Labuschagne the flankers.

In the backs, Jesse Kriel starts at fullback, with Dries Swanepoel pairing up with Burger Odendaal in the midfield. Piet van Zyl also returns to the scrumhalf starting berth.

On the bench, Nqoba Mxoli will make his Bulls and Super Rugby debut if he takes to the field.

The Bulls quite simply have to win this match. If they lose they are all but out of contention for the play offs as the Sharks can pull away from them.

The Bookies have given the Sunwolves a 30 point start for this Match – with an offer of up to $200 in Bonus bets. Beating the Bulls at Loftus is a big ask for the best of sides. The Sunwolves are the lowest ranked team in the Super Rugby standings so they will struggle in Pretoria. The Bulls should win by at least 21 with a bonus point.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ (Sky), Aus (Fox Sports), SA (SuperSport) and in the UK on Sky Sports 3 on the Red Button.
