The Golden Lions Rugby Union has announced that their International team will in future be known as the LIONS.

The public were asked to vote for a new logo for the international team, and last week the logo was presented to the Union.

After in-depth marketing research carried out in June 2006, it was decided to move away from the Cats brand, and become the Lions, while all the representative sides, from Currie Cup right down to the U/13 team will retain their identity as Golden Lions.
