The Cats coach has solved his hooker problems with forgotten Delarey du Preez. Lukas van Biljon will more than likey still be the number one choice but du Preez will now feature as back up.

Previous back up hooker James Van der Walt is suffering from a bicep problem and will undergo surgery to his damaged bicep, which should keep him out of action for at least 10 weeks.

Queenstown born du Preez turned 30 in June last year but made his Springbok debut in 2002 versus Samoa and has scored one try in two appearances. He has played at Super 12 level before and appeared for the Cats in 2000/03 and the Bulls in 1999.

In February 2004 he was contracted to Gloucester to May 2006 but was released in May 2004 when he returned to the Bulldogs where he took up a player/coach role.
