The Cats lost another match on the road today and this time it was against the team that they were amalgamated with last year before the Cheetahs were part of the Super 14.

The match held little importance as both teams were well and out of contention for a Semi final place.

The Cats led 20 – 9 at half time and managed to get as far as 23-9 ahead before Meyer Bosman came on in the second half and appeared to inspire the Cheetahs.

The first half was a lacklustre effort from the Cheetahs and then the teams seemed to swap attitudes at half time so the Cats put in a lacklustre effort in the second half.

The second half saw the Cats score only three points in 40 minutes as the Cheetahs did all the playing scoring 19 points to secure a win against their old pals.

Final score Cheetahs 28 Cats 23
