The Crusaders are back in action this week after a bye last week and host South Africa’s Southern Kings at AMI Stadium in Christchurch.

The Crusaders have played two matches to date and have won match and lost one match. The Kings on the other hand have played two and lost two.

Crusaders head coach Todd Blackadder has made a number of changes for this match. Prop Wyatt Crockett and hooker Ben Funnell will start at number 1 and 2 for the first time this season, having come off the bench in the previous two games.

Playing their first game of the season will be lock Luke Romano, loose forward Matt Todd, halfback Mitchell Drummond and fullback Marty McKenzie. David Havili will partner Kieron Fonotia in the midfield, while Johnny McNicholl and Nemani Nadolo start on the wings.

Hooker Ged Robinson may earn his first Crusaders cap if he comes off the bench on Saturday night, and Ryan Crotty is also looking for his first run of 2016 after recovering from his thumb injury to take a spot in the reserves.

Southern Kings head coach Deon Davids has replaced Edgar Marutlulle at hooker with Martin Ferreira, while Kevin Luiters comes up from the bench to start in place of Ntando Kebe.

The Crusaders have only played the Southern Kings once in Super Rugby and that match in 2013 was won 55-20 by the Crusaders.

The Bookies have given the Kings a 34 point start for this Match – with an offer of a FREE $150 BET. The Crusaders have too much talent and experience for the Kings and should win this by more than 24 points.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 3.
