Tim Donnelly has been named at 10 for the NSW Waratahs’ opening Super 14 match against the Queensland Reds at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

Will Caldwell will make his Super 14 debut when he packs down with Daniel Vickerman in the second row. Caldwell is the only non-Wallaby in the Waratah pack which is led by vice-captain Phil Waugh.

“I came close to getting on last year but to be making my debut against Queensland is a great honour,” said Caldwell

“It was definitely a tough day at the office in terms of selection,” said head coach Ewen McKenzie.

” We’ve had to make some difficult calls including a 5-2 forward split on the bench. But I’m pretty happy with the make up of the squad.”
