Du Toit commits to playing Super Rugby for Sharks

Durban based Super Rugby franchise the Sharks have announced that prop Thomas du Toit has committed his immediate future to the Sharks by signing a three-year contract extension.

Du Toit’s signing comes a day after he signed a three month contract to play in Ireland for Munster.

The prop will re-join the  Sharks Super Rugby training squad in January 2017.

Commenting on du Toit’s stint with Munster Currie Cup Head Coach, Robert du Preez said: “We have no doubt that this opportunity will allow Thomas to gain valuable experience and some important game-time under his belt, ahead of the start of the 2017 Super Rugby tournament. ”

“The European Professional Club Rugby tournament is a competition where scrummaging is at the forefront, and this will add to his growth and development as a player.”
