The Emirates Western Force has named its squad of 23 to travel to New Zealand to play the Wellington Hurricanes on Saturday.

With backs Lachlan MacKay and Josh Graham ruled out through injury, centre/wing Haig Sare and number 8 Tim Davidson joins the squad for the game at Yarrow Stadium in New Plymouth.

Former Reds flyhalf Brock James returns to the squad after a bout of the flu.

The 23 year old Sare performed well in the trial phase and joined the Emirates Western Force from France, where the former Sydneysider had been playing for the Biarritz club.

Davidson also put in solid performances during the trials, and can lay claim to being the first player to ever score for the Perth team, touching down in the pre-season match against the Cheetahs. The 23 year old joined the Emirates Western Force from Sydney University, where he was captain of the 2005 premiership side.

MacKay tore a medial ligament in his right knee and Josh Graham suffered concussion in the Tooheys New Super 14 game against the Brumbies at Subiaco Oval on Friday night. MacKay is expected to miss the rest of the season whilst Graham will miss at least two games.

The squad will fly to Melbourne today and train there until Wednesday when it will fly to New Plymouth.

The touring squad is:

Gareth Hardy, Brendan Cannon, David Fitter, John Welborn, Nathan Sharpe, Luke Doherty, Matt Hodgson, Scott Fava, Matt Henjak, Brock James, Scott Daruda, Junior Pelesasa, Digby Ioane, Scott Staniforth, James Hilgendorf, Tai McIsaac, David Te Moana, David Pusey, Richard Brown, Chris O’Young, Haig Sare, Cameron Shepherd, Tim Davidson
