Former Wallabies, Reds back James O’Connor and All Blacks Crusaders forward Ali Williams have both been arrested allegedly for buying cocaine in Paris.

According to several French media reports the former Internationals and Super Rugby stars spent the night in jail after allegedly been spotted giving 200 Euros to two drug dealers outside a Paris nightclub at 3am on Saturday morning.

The pair were arrested by policemen from the Anti-Crime Brigade and are said to have been heavily intoxicated.

O’Connor’s career has been held back by off field issues and three years ago had his ARU contract torn up which led to him moving to France.

He then returned to Australia and played a short stint for the Reds in 2015 but then returned to France.

The former Wallaby was understood to be considering a move back to Australia to put himself in contention for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
