Bulls coach Heyneke Meyer has decided to put Bryan Habana on the bench so he will not start against the Crusaders.

Instead of going with the Springbok wing Meyer has decided to rely on Akona Ndungane & Frikkie Welsh for his wings.

While Welsh has been particularly impressive the pair of Welsh & Habana have been the preferred pairing. Jake White did have some words to say about Habana being played on the opposite wing to that which White plays him.

The question that many fans will be asking is whether Meyer is resting Habana now when he could rest him against the Stormers in a week’s time or is he just not performing to Meyer’s satisfaction. The latter is probably the more likely given that Meyer has recently played Habana on the opposite side to which he normally appears.

Morne Steyn keeps his number 10 jersey and Jaco van der Westhuyzen retains his place at 15.

The pack is the same as the one chosen for the Sharks.
