Hewat tops the point scoring table

Waratahs fullback Peter Hewatt is the leading scorer after 10 rounds of rugby’s Super 14 with 155 points which is three more than the Crusaders and All Black Daniel Carter.


Hewatt has scored four tries and kicked 29 penalties and 24 conversions while Carter has five tries, 26 conversions, 24 penalties and a dropped goal.


The Chiefs first-five Stephen Donald is the only other player who has scored over three figures and is on 115 points.


The Hurricanes wing Lome Fa’atau is the leading try scorer with eight tries which is two more than the ACT Brumbies’ centre Stirling Mortlock.


Percy Motgomery started off well and led the table in the first few weeks but has now dropped off.


The leading South African player is Derek Hougaard from the Bulls on 93.
