Bulls fly-half Derick Hougaard has ben ruled out for the second successive week, after he failed a late fitness test on Friday.

His place in the team, to face the Cheetahs in a Super 14 Round Two match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday, will be taken by Morn’ Steyn – who also stepped in when Hougaard withdrew before the Sharks encounter last week.

The decision to withdraw Hougaard from the side was taken by Bulls doctor Tommie Smook, after the captain’s run when Hougaard started complaining of pain and discomfort.

Jacques-Louis Potgieter will again come in on the bench as cover for fly-half, as he did last week.
