Match detail

We are waiting for the kick off.

In the meantime why not have a look at the match preview.

The Jaguares kick off and we are underway.

.00: The Hurricanes put together a number of phases and make some ground but then Dane Coles is penalised at the break down for joining incorrectly. The Jaguares kick for touch.

.00: The Jaguares win the line out and press the Hurricanes back to their 5m line. Perenara pleads for a penalty and gets it. Barrett clears into touch.

.00: The Jaguares are putting a big effort in at the breakdown.  The Hurricanes win a line out and kick for Savea. The Jaguares are caught offside so the Hurricanes have a penalty. Barrett will kick for touch.

.00: Barrett takes the shot but misses.

.00: The Jaguares try to move the ball from a ruck and the Hurricanes drive them off and win the ball. Ardie Savea chips the ball ahead and Barrett races in to get the ball and scores the TRY.

.00: Barrett converts the try.

.00: Penalty to the Hurricanes. Joining the maul incorrectly. Barrett kicks for touch and the line out. His kick goes over the dead ball line so the Jaguares have a 22 drop out. They choose a scrum.

.00: The Jaguares make good ground after the scrum. They get the ball over the half way line. They go through 8 phases but when the ball is lost they are called back for Victor Vito offside.

.00: Ardie Savea is shown a yellow card for collapsing a maul. Hurricanes down to 14.

.00: The Jaguares make a mess of the penalty as they lose the ball in their maul and the Hurricanes clear into touch.

.00: The Jaguares win the line out and use the maul again. They have the advantage and press forward to 1m out.  They drive over and Leonardo Senatore scores. TRY!

.00: Sanchez adds the conversion and the scores are level.

.00: The Jaguares knock on after a kick and chase so the Hurricanes have a scrum. Dane Coles came flying in and ran over Matías Orlando.  The Hurricanes win the scrum and move the ball wide.

.00: The Jaguares turn the ball over and run it out of their 22.

.00: The Jaguares get the ball over the half way line but then lose it. The Jagaures are caught offside – joining the ruck – so the Hurricanes have a penalty. It’s all a bit messy at the moment. Hurricanes kick for touch and the line out.

.00: The Hurricanes are on the attack but Matías Moroni picks an intercept pass and races for the line and scores. TRY! The only chaser was Ardie Savea who has just come back on.

.00: Nicolas Sanchez takes the conversion and misses but the Jaguares are in the lead.

.00: The Jaguares win a line out and run the ball. They lose it as they get to the half way line and the Hurricanes attack but they can only make 10m through the first 6 phases.

.00: Perenara makes a break and the Jaguares have to scramble. The Hurricanes change sides and they send the ball out to Julian Savea who scores. TRY!

.00: Barrett adds the conversion. The Hurricanes lead.

.00: Perenara makes another break and he races through, he chips for Savea to chase and he does. As he gets to the line and gets the ball and slides over and scores. TRY!

.00: Barrett takes the conversion from out wide.

.00: He nails it.

Its half time.

The half time score was Hurricanes 21 Jaguares 12

Beauden Barrett kicks off and the second half is underway.

.00: The Hurricanes win the line and kick. The ball goes straight to the Jaguares but they get wrapped up and the ball goes dead. Jaguares scrum.

.00: The Jaguares try to use the maul. It dies and the ball goes into touch.

.00: The Jaguares win a line out and get the ball into the Hurricanes 22. Tomás Lavanini loses the ball and the Hurricanes counter attack. Coles has a big run and Ngani Laumape gets even further. Perenara gets shoved into touch, Great break out. Great defence scramble. There is a break in play for a TMO review. Willis Halaholo “took out” Matías Moroni so we go back 80m almost for a Jaguares penalty.

.00: Sanchez takes the penalty kick and nails it.

.00: Barrett’s restart kick goes too deep so we go back for a scrum on the half way line. He had spotted space behind but the ball rolled too much.

.00 : The Jagaures get the Hurricanes under pressure 5m out but then Hurricanes get the ball and kick upfield. The Jaguares try to run the ball back but Brad Shields gets an intercept and races for the line and scores.  However a Jaguares player had a foot in touch so we go to the TMO. Ok so the foot in touch was within two phases so the try is not awarded and we go back for a line out.

.00: The Hurricanes are angry about that and attack with vigour. The Hurricanes press the Jaguares back in their 22. Barrett uses a switch inside pass to Dane Coles who goes over to score. TRY!

.00: Barrett adds the conversion.

.00: Tension is high as a fight breaks out and then dies. Dane Coles is not happy with one of the Jaguares players. The TMO is called in. Nothing comes off the review and we revert to a penalty for the Canes. Barrett kicks for touch.

.00: Barrett finds touch and the Hurricanes win the line out. They attack and then win another penalty in front of the posts. Barrett takes the kick to the corner.

.00: Shields loses the ball at the line out and the breakdown is a mess. It changes hands several times. Eventually a knock on is called. Jaguares scrum. Victor Vito comes off.

.00: The Hurricanes win the scrum and fire the ball out to Savea who dives over in the corner and scores. TRY! Hat-trick and a bonus point if it stays like this.  Savea was dropped for last week and it looks like he has responded rather well.

.00: Barrett takes the conversion kick from out wide but he hooks it.

.00: The Jaguares win a 5m line out. They get the maul rolling over the tryline but they are held up.

.00: The scrum has to be reset. The second scrum is strong from the Jaguares and they win a penalty. They are allowed to play on but are eventually called back for the penalty and they choose another scrum.

.00: The Jaguares win the scrum and Landajo slips around Shields and scores. TRY!

.00: Sanchez slots the conversion from out wide. Perenara is replaced by Jamison Gibson-Park.

.00: Injury break for a Jaguares player. Cory Jane comes off having won his 100th cap. Otere Black comes on.

.00: The Jaguares win a scrum on the 5m line. They slip over the try line and we will go to the TMO to check. Ramiro Moyano gets the ball down but loses control of it. No try. This is the opposite ruling to what was awarded a few weeks ago in Cape Town. Jaguares 5m scrum.

.00: The Jaguares win the scrum and Landajo passes out to  Manuel Montero who slips over but the pass was forward. No try.

.00: The Hurricanes win the scrum and kick for touch. The Jaguaes put the Canes under some pressure but they hold strong.

.00: The Hurricanes win a penalty and kick for touch again. The Hurricanes work the ball upfield and it goes into touch just inside Jaguares 22m. Coles’ throw is poor.

.00: Penalty to the Hurricanes. There will be a break as Roberto Tejerizo is down.

.03: The Hurricanes win the scrum and attack in the Jaguares 22.  The siren sounds but they play on. Ardie Savea goes for the line but its short. Ben May goes over and scores. Bonus point.

Barrett slots the conversion. Thats it. The Hurricanes have won.

The full time score is Hurricanes 40 (21) Jaguares 22 (12)
