The Investec WP team to play the French Barbarians at the Danie Craven Stadium, Stellenbosch, on Thursday 16 June (public holiday) in a friendly match was announced today. Kick-off is at 15h00.


Tickets are R10 and are available during office hours from the sports office, Jannie Maraishius, Coetzenburg and at the Danie Craven Stadium gate on Thursday from 12h30.

Returning Springboks Bolla Conradie and Tonderai Chavhanga were not considered for selection.


The following players were also not considered due to injury:


Neil De Kock:Recovering from an Achilles injury to his right ankle. Progressing well, should be back at training next week.


AdriBadenhorst: Suffering from a right shoulder injury sustained during the Lions match last weekend. Recovering well and should take part in contact training next week.


AndriesBekker: Recovering after shoulder surgery to his right shoulder. Final phase rehab next week.


Riaan Olckers:Suffered an ankle sprain during the Bulls game (Stormers). This injury has aggravated an old ankle problem and requires surgery. Expected to be out for 4 weeks.


GaffieDu Toit: Had Achilles tendon surgery and is recovering well. Expected recovery time is 3-4 months.


Justin Van Winkel: Sustained an ankle injury during practice. Is recovering well and is expected to be out for 2-3 weeks.


Justin Melck:Suffering from flu.
