The final match in the Super Rugby regular season will decide who finishes on top of the Super Rugby standings and almost certainly where the final will be played.

The Lions are on top of the Super Rugby standings but have risked the chance to remain on top by sending a second string team.

That decision has almost certainly handed the result to the Jaguares and ensured that the Lions will have to travel for the final unless results go their way.

The Jaguares have already played the Lions once this season and the Lions won the match 52-24 in Johannesburg so this will be the first time the Lions have played in Buenos Aires.

For this match the Lions have made 15 changes to their starting line up. The Lions will also have a new captain in Ross Cronje who only made his starting debut in April this year against the Sharks.

All of the Lions regular starters have been left at home to prepare for next week’s home quarter final. Due to this they will have a fresh team with home advantage but they could find that the team will be playing away from home for the final.

The Jaguares have named made two changes for this match. Team captain Agustin Creevy has been replaced by Julian Montoya in the front row and in the second row Pablo Matera has been replaced Guido Petty.

Other than those two changes the side that lost to the Highlanders last week has been retained.

The Jaguares have not performed as well as expected this season and have struggled at times. They have however been tough to beat at home in Buenos Aires which is why two of their three wins have come at home.

The Bookies have given the Lions an 11 point start for this Match – with an offer of up to $200 in Bonus bets. The Jaguares will have more experience than the Lions and will have home advantage this week so they should win by 9.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ (Sky), Aus (Fox Sports), SA (SuperSport) and in the UK on Sky Sports 5.
