Sharks Super Rugby head coach Robert du Preez has named his team to play the Western Force in Durban on Saturday.

The Sharks drew 9-all in their last match at home but rebounded last week with a victory over the Jaguares in Argentina. Du Preez says that they do not want to disappoint their fans at home again.

“The passion and courage our players showed last week to grind out an important win against a battle hardened test team at their fortress was special, and showed the character of our team,” said Head Coach, Robert du Preez.

“The Force pushed the Lions right until the final whistle last week and we know that once they get their tails up they can be difficult to stop.  We want to carry on from where we let off last week, be positive and more clinical with our execution.

“We let our fans down a fortnight ago at home and we don’t want to do that again.  Hopefully our performance this weekend will make them proud.”

In terms of selection Du Preez has named Patrick Lambie on the replacements bench for the first time since he injured his back playing against the Waratahs in the third round.

In the starting back line Lwazi Mvovo has been rested  in line with the Springbok player rest protocol. As a result there are two new wingers with Kobus van Wyk and Sibusiso Nkosi in the starting team.

In the forwards Stephan Lewies rotates to the bench and is replaced by Etienne Oosthuizen. While in the front row Coenie Oosthuizen comes in replace Lourens Adriaanse at tighthead prop.
