Lions lose captain Whiteley for up to two months

Johannesburg Super rugby team the Lions will be without their regular captain Warren Whiteley for up to two months due to injury.

Whiteley tore his (left) pectoralis major muscle in the Lions Super rugby match against the Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday.

The Lions team doctor Rob Collis says that the tendon is intact but Whiteley should recover in 6-8 weeks.

The Lions host the Bulls this weekend at home in Johannesburg.
