Wallabies star back Berrick Barnes is in doubt for the the British & Irish Lions tour after he suffered an injury playing for the Waratahs.
Initially Barnes was suspected to have a to fractured wrist but Waratahs coach says that Barnes may have just dislocated his thumb and further assessments will be done over the next 48 hours.
Barnes injured his knee in a Waratahs training session early in February and was making his 2013 Super Rugby debut this week.
However the rugby league convert last just 17 minutes before falling his his wrist ending his match.
Barnes, who plays at fly-half, centre and full-back for the Wallabies now looks set to join David Pocock on the side lines.
Pocock was ruled out for the rest of the year after he fell awkwardly last week playing against the Waratahs for the Brumbies.
Barnes won his fiftieth 50th Wallaby Test cap against Wales in December.
