Former Bok coach Gold confirms Bath move

Former Newcastle Falcons and Springboks forward coach Gary Gold has revealed that he will be moving to Aviva Premiership Rugby club Bath.

There has been much speculation over where Gold will move to after he interim coaching job with Newcastle Falcons came to an end on Saturday.

Gold flew back to Cape Town after the weekend but revealed to a South African Online Radio service that he will be moving to Bath

"I'm very excited (about the new job) and I'm taking some good coaches with me as well," Gold told Ballz Visual Radio.

"Bath is a wonderful place and the west country in England is really the heart of rugby in the UK."

Gold looks set to to be joined by former England defence coach Mike Ford, ex-London Irish prop Neal Hatley and Brad Davis.

Gold also revealed that the players have been informed and that the appointment will be confirmed on Tuesday.

The former London Irish coach said that he would be relocating his family to Bath.
