Blues head coach Pat Lam has named an unchanged starting XV for his side's clash with the Stormers at Eden Park on Saturday (kick off 5.30pm local time).

After ending the Bulls' 12 match winning streak last week with a thrilling 32-17 victory, Lam has rewarded his players by selecting the same squad.

"The boys are performing well," Lam said.

"There's a lot of pressure from the guys below trying to get in there but everyone's working well and working hard and they deserve to go at it again," he said.

All Black prop John Afoa has been named in the starting XV despite suffering from a back strain sustained against the Bulls and he will be given until the last minute to prove his fitness.

"There's a few boys like that that are training for the first time this week," Lam said on the Blues site.

"We've had to manage the work load, obviously it was a huge physical effort last week and we're expecting another one this week so we're giving him right until game day."

The Blues team:

15. Isaia Toeava , 14. Joe Rokocoko , 13. Rene Ranger , 12. Benson Stanley , 11. Rudi Wulf , 10. Stephen Brett , 9. Alby Mathewson , 8. Viliami Ma'afu , 7. Serge Lilo , 6. Jerome Kaino , 5. Anthony Boric , 4. Kurtis Haiu , 3. John Afoa , 2. Keven Mealamu , 1. Charlie Faumuina
