Blues head coach Pat Lam has made two changes to the starting lineup for this weekend's clash with the Sharks in Durban .

Abrasive flanker Serge Lilo has been reinstated to the starting XV after missing out on the 22 last week, while Peter Saili (pictured) replaces Viliami Ma'afu at number 8.

With the Blues currently in seventh position, five points off the pace of the fourth placed Reds, they must win every one of their remaining four matches to keep their semi final aspirations alive.

"We've traveled well which is really important – especially for a few of the guys like Viliami and Filo who are experiencing the trip to South Africa for the first time," Lam said.

"Our only training run for the week will be today but there is a lot of focus and motivation about what needs to be achieved on Saturday night."

"While the Sharks are tough to beat (in Durban), we know how high the stakes are."
