The Waratahs left Sydney on Sunday morning with a squad of 24 players to prepare for Saturday's Super 14 semi-final against the Stormers.
Following the Stormers victory over the Bulls at Newlands , the Tahs finished the regular season in third place and now prepare for next weekend's semi-final in Durban.
The 22-man squad which claimed victory in Friday night's virtual quarter final against the Hurricanes has been retained for this match, with Adam Freier and Chris Alcock providing further cover in the touring group.
"Damien Fitzpatrick copped a knock to his knee shortly after getting on the field on Friday," said head coach Chris Hickey.
We're fairly optimistic, but we're taking Adam Freier just in case and by adding Chris Alcock to the group it allows us to revisit a number of options in the backrow before selecting the side for Saturday night."
