Blues coach Pat Lam says that he believes his team can win next year's inaugural Super 15 if they continue their progression from this year.
"It's a bold statement but I'm confident we'll do it next year," Lam said.
"Mainly because I know what this squad is going to be like." he told NZPA.
"What we've done from my first year to my second year, I'd be very surprised if we don't do it (win the Super 15)."
The Blues finished the 2010 season mid-table in seventh place which is a step up from their 2009 finish in 9th place.
In 2008 the Blues finished in 6th place and in 2007 they made the play-offs but lost to the Sharks in Durban.
In the first ever Super 14 back in 2007 the Blues finished in 8th place.
