The Rebels have never played the Hurricanes before so it's difficult to predict how their styles of play will perform against each other.

Match detail

We are waiting for the kick off. The match is underway.

1.00: The Rebels knock on after the kick and off and the Hurricanes have a scrum. The Canes win the scrum and attack. Corey Jane gets just inside the Rebels 25 but is pushed into touch.

3.00: The Hurricanes are showing plenty of signs of attack and running lots of ball at the Rebels. Rebels lose a line out and the Hurricanes run at the Rebels but a heavily bearded Corey Jane knocks on.

6.00: Jason Eaton wins the ball at the breakdown and dashes for the line with Conrad Smith, he passes to Chris Eaton who scores the first try.

7.00: Daniel Kirkpatrick takes the conversion but misses - hit the posts.

12.00: Kirkpatrick breaks the Rebels line and gets the Hurricanes over the gain line and he passes to Nonu who offloads to Victor Vito. Vito shrugs off one tackle and darts for the line to score the second try.

13.00: Kirkpatrick misses the conversion again. The Rebels have missed 8 tackles to the Hurricanes two already.

16.00: Nonu busts through the Rebels backline and gets taken to ground and Kirkpatrick breaks through Al Campbell's tackle and races for the line to score the Hurricanes third try. It's getting easier for the visitors.

47.00: It's all the Rebels on attack and the Hurricanes on the back foot. Mitchell races for the line but is caught. The Rebels recycle and get over the line but are held up.

49.00: Mortlock snipes for the Rebels but is short. Al Campbell takes the ball at short range and drives over - but we go upstairs to check. Campbell struggles to get the ball down as Nonu's boot is in the way but eventually he does and the try is awarded. It's a bonus point try.

49.00: Cipriani adds the conversion.

52.00: It's all forward momentum from the Rebels. They go through the phases - at pace and Cooper Vuna gets the ball and dives over taking two with him including Nonu to score! That's power. Credit to Nick Phipps for handling and creating that.
