For one of the newer Super Rugby teams the Force don't have a terribly bad record against the seven time champion Crusaders.

Match detail

We are waiting for the kick off.
 
This match is a sell out today so not a spare seat in the house.
 
Matt Berquist kicks off and we are underway.
 
2.00; The Crusaders start well running the ball well at the Force. Guildford and then Maitland split the Force's defence and passes Israel Dagg who races down the wing to score. TRY!!
 
3.00: Matt Berquist takes the conversion and slices it from the touchline.
 
7.00: Israel Dagg breaks through one tackle stumbles a little forward sells a dummy pass, regathers himself and finds he is in space so he races away to score his second TRY!!
 
9.00: Matt Berquist adds the conversion and the Crusaders are well past a point a minute.
 
11.00: The Force get a chance for some points as they are awarded a penalty.
 
12.00: James O'Connor takes the penalty kick and slots it. Huge Crusaders support behind the posts - booing O'Connor...in Perth of all places.
 
16.00: The Force concede a penalty so Matt Berquist takes a shot at posts and stabs it but it stays true and good.
 
19.00: Penalty to the Force.
 
20.00: James O'Connor takes the kick and nails it from well out. Great kick.
 
23.00: Another penalty to the Force. Again O'Connor nails it.  
 
28.00: Brilliant play from the Force. The Crusaders lose the ball on attack and David Smith regathers the ball, he breaks and passes to O'Connor and he bolts down the wing, he passes to the middle and the Force spread the ball across the field and Cameron Shepherd runs back in and scores under the posts. Great TRY!! 
 
29.00: O'Connor adds the conversion.
 
31.00: The Crusaders hit straight back. Dagg breaks through the Force and passes to Sonny Bill who scores TRY!!
 
31.00: Berquist adds the conversion.
 
35.00: The Force have more confidence now. They are running at the Crusaders. It wins them a penalty.  McCaw is given a warning.
 
37.00: James O'Connor takes the kick and nails it.
 
39.00: Crusaders on attack but the siren goes so Kahn Fotuali'i runs it out. It's half time.

The second half is underway.
 
42.00: The Crusaders start with a Penalty. Berquist takes the kick but misses.  
 
45.00: David Pocock concedes a penalty so Berquist gets another shot at the posts. He nails it.
 
47.00: Penalty to the Force and Richie McCaw is sent to the sin-bin for playing the ball on the ground.
 
48.00:Willie Ripia takes the penalty kick and nails it.
 
52.00: The Force get hold of the ball in broken play and they spread the ball across the field and Cameron Shepherd scores his second try in the corner. Great team try.
 
53.00: Willie Ripia just misses the conversion but the Force are back in front.
 
57.00: Penalty to the Force. James O'Connor takes the kick and slots it. That's 11 points while McCaw was off. He comes back on.
 
60.00: Penalty to the Crusaders. Dagg slips as he kicks the ball but he still manages to nail it and cut the lead.
 
62.00: Crusaders pressing hard at the Force. They try for a drop goal but it misses.
 
65.00: Crusaders are throwing everything at the Force now.
 
68.00: James O'Connor kicks for touch and it looks a beauty but it just goes out.
 
70.00: Crusaders have a massive scrum and they run the ball from the back of the scrum and after a couple of phases Corey Flynn bashes his way over the line and scores. TRY!! Bonus point try.
 
72.00: Matt Berquist takes the conversion kick and nails it.
 
74.00: Crusaders throw everything at the Force. It;s relentless and powerful. Eventually Kahn Fotuali'i scores.
 
75.00: Matt Berquist takes the conversion kick and slots it.
 
78.00: The Force are now throwing everything at the Crusaders. 15 phases in the Crusaders 25 and all about 5m out. On the 16th phase the Crusaders turn the ball over and kick it out.
 
80.00: The Force rebuild their attack and start all over again. They pile on the pressure but the siren goes and the Crusaders run the ball out. Crusaders win.
