These two teams last met in Round 5 of this year's tournament and the Blues won 41-17 in Auckland and since then the Blues have kept on winning their matches while the Hurricanes have struggled.

We are waiting for the kick off.
The match is underway.
2.00: The Blues get a penalty so Lachie Munro takes the kick and nails it.
6.00: Blues doing plenty of attacking in the Hurricanes half. The Hurricanes get some rare ball and they kick deep. Rene Ranger attempts to pick up the ball and knocks on.
8.00: Hurricanes win the scrum from the knock on and attack. After coming close with a few waves of attack they win a penalty (Ranger). Aaron Cruden will kick for posts.
10.00: There is some rain which is affecting handling but it is not pouring down. Cruden takes the shot and nails it to level the scores.
15.00: Handling has not been good from both teams. The Blues put together 16 phases on attack and then just as they get into the Hurricanes 25 they win a penalty.
17.00: Munro takes the penalty kick and nails it. Rain is coming down heavier now.
20.00: Ranger was moved to centre for this match. He is involved but doesn't look settled. A couple of mistakes creaping into the Blues game. They kick for territory but the Hurricanes charge it down.
23.00: Hurricanes coming more into the game and retaining more possession. Eaton however passes to Cruden and the pass goes forward.
25.00: The fourth line out of the match is won by the Blues (their first) and they try to run the ball but get nowhere so Ranger kicks.
27.00: The Hurricanes kick back and then the Blues run the ball but knock on.
31.00: Andre Taylor finds space behind the Blues with his boot. The Blues scramble and get back and then kick back.
33.00: The game opens up as both teams takes turns attacking and then turning the ball over. It ends as Peter Saiili kicks the ball out.
37.00: The Blues get another penalty. Munro strikes it oddly but it still sails through.
40.00: The siren goes for half time. Play continues but then it goes out. It is half time.

The second half is underway.
42.00: The Hurricanes make a strong start but then Benson Stanley of the Blues knocks on.
45.00: Hurricanes set up and then win a line out in the Blues 25. As they move the ball to the middle of the field they concede a penalty. The Blues kick for touch.
46.00: Dane Coles comes on for Andrew Hore (Hurricanes captain). Tom McCartney comes on for the Blues.
50.00: Blues now more in control of the game. They work the ball into the Hurricanes half and as they are getting nowhere Brett goes for a drop goal but it is charged down. The Blues then concede a penalty and kick for touch.
52.00: The Hurricanes win the line out and Jeremy Thrush races aways towards the line and scores. But wait. He lost the ball as he crossed the line. No try. 5m scrum.
53.00: The Blues win the scrum and they kick downfield and dodge a bullet  there. Alapati Leiua gets some medical attention.
54.00: The Blues win a line out and spread the ball wide, they try the grubber and Thrush charges down and passes to Aaron Cruden and he races away, he passes to Hosea Gear who scores the first try of the match!! TRY.
56.00: Cruden misses the conversion.
59.00: Hurricanes very much in form now. They have the Blues on the backfoot. The Blues concede a penalty so Cruden takes the shot and nails it. The Hurricanes lead for the first time.
61.00: A blow for the Hurricanes.  Tyson Keats is shown a yellow card (tip tackle) and the Blues are awarded a penalty. Munro takes the kick and slots it. Blues lead again.
65.00: The Blues look dangerous but Brett hesitates and gets tackled into touch.
66.00: The Blues rumble the ball up to the line and Mathewson darts off the ball of a ruck and scores after selling a dummy.
67.00: Lachie Munro takes the conversion kick and misses from in front. Ouch.
72.00: Keats comes back from the sin-bin so Hurricanes back to 15 players.
74.00: Blues playing a clever game by keeping the ball in the Hurricanes 25.
75.00: The Blues get an overlap and they send the ball out to Big Joe but Hosea Gear stops him and the pas was forward.
76.00: The Hurricanes pressing hard but from deep. They make a break but the pass is forward.
77.00: Hurricanes win a penalty and kick for touch.
79.00: Hurricanes have a line out on the Blues 5m line. They win the line out and set up a maul.
80.00: Penalty to the Hurricanes. There is no time for the line out. They tap and go.
81.00: Hurricanes pressing hard at the Blues line. They are a couple of metres out and then they change sides. Hurricanes send wave after wave of attack - Taylor gets oh so close and then they go over in the corner - or do they? Keats loses the ball as he goes over. No try. Thats it.
