The Cheetahs have named Griquas wingers Dusty Noble and Rocco Janse in their Super Rugby team to face the Lions in their Super Rugby opener at Ellis Park on Saturday.
Noble, a former Lions player, earns his first start in almost two years while Jansen will make his Super Rugby debut, but with experienced backs Robert Ebersohn and Hennie Daniller in the backline, he should be ably assisted.
Coach Naka Drotske has also included Tewis de Bruyn at scrum-half.
In the pre-season De Bruyn played for French side Lyon, and he will combine with flyhalf Johan Goosen at the weekend.
Goosen will also play his first Super Rugby match.
Drotske, however, had yet to decide on Wednesday whether Lappies Labuschagne, recovering from a shoulder injury, or Philip van der Walt would play in the flanker position.
