The new Super Rugby draw, which was implemented last year, meant the Sharks and the Reds did not play each other in 2011.

We are waiting for the kick-off.
1.00: Ben Lucas gets proceedings under way as he kicks off for the Reds.
2.00: The Sharks earn themselves a scrum on the Reds' 22 and put in strong showing. They gain momentum within the visitors' 22 and start to build phases.
6.00: The Sharks are putting pressure on the Reds and haven't left their half since the kick-off. The visitors' defence is too strong for the Sharks, however, and they are battling to break their line.
8.00: Bismarck du Plessis is penalised for going off his feet at the breakdown and Mike Harris opts to kick for the corner.
9.00: A sharp burst by the Reds sees hooker James Hanson dot down for the first try of the game.
10.00: Mike Harris adds 2 as his conversion sails over.
13.00: Digby Ioane makes a strong break and the Sharks' defence is wide open. Rod Davies spills the ball 15m from the Sharks' line as the rain starts bucketing down in Durban.
15.00: The Sharks are penalised and Mike Harris will take a shot at goal from about 40m out.
16.00: Harris' kick is short and the scoreline remains unchanged.
17.00: Will Genia makes a brilliant break up the centre of the field. The Reds continue to build phases within the Sharks' 22 but they spill the ball and the Sharks get out of jail. The visitors are looking incredibly dangerous with ball in hand.
20.00: The Sharks work their way back into the Reds' half but they concede a penalty for not releasing and Lucas kicks for touch.
22.00: The Sharks are penalised once again and Lucas kicks for the corner. Harris seems to be injured and that will be a big blow for the Reds. Morahan replaces him in the midfield.
24.00: The Reds are gaining valuable metres and are once again camped in the Sharks' 22. Their hard work pays off as Scott Higginbotham crosses over directly under the sticks.
25.00: Lucas takes over the kicking duties and converts the try.
30.00: The Sharks are penalised for offside and Lucas will take a shot at goal.
31.00: The kick is on target and the Reds extend their lead..
33.00: There is a patch of promising play from the Sharks and they counter well as they gain momentum and build phases.
34.00: Jandre Marais is pushed over the line to score the Sharks' first try.
35.00: Pat Lambie bangs over the conversion.
36.00: There are suddenly some serious injury concerns for the Sharks as both Jannie du Plessis and Steven Sykes have been assisted off the field.
38.00: A brilliant turn around by the Sharks sees Tim Whitehead and Lwazi Mvovo make a break up the touch line. Mvovo dots down but the try is not awarded as Willem Alberts is penalised for dangerous entry at the ruck.
39.00: The Reds are penalised for obstruction and the Sharks opt to take it quickly. They work through the phases but the game stops as Ioane receives a yellow card for a tip tackle on Marcell Coetzee. Lambie will take a shot at posts for the penalty.
40.00: Lambie's kick is on target on the stroke of half time.

40.00: Lambie kicks off the second half in Durban.
41.00: The Reds are penalised early on and Lambie lines up a shot at goal. The kick sails over and the home side reduce the deficit.
44.00: Genia finds a gap and makes a run up into the Sharks' half. There is a turnover for the home side, however, and they build phases as they work their way into the Reds' 22.
46.00: The Reds' injury woes continue as Lucas tweaks his hamstring.
47.00: The Sharks make a quick break and it seems Coetzee has scored but the TMO rules that the ball was knocked on by the Reds earlier on. The Sharks have a put in at the scrum, 5m out.
49.00: The Sharks look close to scoring again but they fluff the opportunity as Mvovo cannot reach a long pass wide by Charl McLeod. The ball flies into touch.
52.00: The Sharks work through phases 10m out. They are awarded a penalty as the Reds are penalised for another dangerous tackle. They opt to take the scrum 5m away from the visitors' line.
54.00: Keegan Daniel breaks off the scrum and flies through to score the Sharks' second try. Lambie's conversion is on target.
57.00: The Reds put in a good counter as Ioane and Nick Frisby team up and make a strong break. Frisby dots down in the corner to put the visitors back in front.
58.00: Genia takes the conversion but misses.
60.00: The Sharks automatically reciprocate as they affect a turnover in the Reds' half and Riaan Viljoen breaks down the touch line to score.
61.00: Lambie converts the try.
63.00: The Sharks are once again putting the Reds under pressure as they build phases within the visitors' 22.
66.00: The Reds are awarded a penalty directly in front of the posts. Genia, their third choice goal kicker, will line up the kick.
67.00: The kick drifts wide and the Sharks still lead by 5.
70.00: The Reds are once again on the attack within the Sharks' half. They get through seven phases before knocking on. The pressure seems to be getting to the defending champs.
73.00: The Reds gain momentum off the back of a lineout. The Sharks are penalised for not rolling away. The visitors opt for a scrum on the Sharks 22.
75.00: The Reds are attempting to chip away at the Sharks' defence but it looks to strong to pierce. They get through 18 phases but a thumping tackle by McLeod sees Ben Tapuai knock on. The Sharks counter attack off the turnover and work their way up to the Reds' 22. They are awarded a scrum 5m out. 
78.00: The Sharks are 2m out and are desperate to cross over for a bonus point try. The Reds' defence stands resolute and the visitors are awarded a penalty. Tapuai kicks for touch.
79.00: The Reds' throw-in at the lineout is not straight and it looks like the Sharks will bag the win.
80.00: The hooter sounds and the Sharks celebrate in Durban.
The final score is Sharks 27 Reds 22.
