The Stormers ended their Australasian Super Rugby tour with a 3-17 victory over the Force in terrible Perth weather conditions.

The Stormers finish their tour with 13 points from three victories and a losing bonus point against the Crusaders who remain the only team to have beaten them.

The weather proved to be a big factor in the match as the pouring rain made the ball slippery which prevented a free flowing game.

The Stormers scored the only two tries of the match although their first by Bryan Habana was awarded incorrectly as replays showed he lost the ball before he crossed the tryline.

Habana intercepted a pass whilst the Force were on attack and used his pace to run clear of the rest of the field including the officials.

As the officials were left cold with Habana's pace they could not see that he lost the ball as he slid across the grass to score so they did not call for the TMO and awarded the try which Peter Grant converted.

Habana's try gave the Stormers a 3-7 lead at half time before Grant's try and his subsequent conversion bounced in off the right goalpost.

Grant also added a penalty for a total amount of 12 points in the match.

It was the third win in four away matches for the Stormers, who have eight wins in nine matches ahead of next week's bye following their Australian and New Zealand road trip.

Lock Andries Bekker, who returned from injury to become the third captain in as many weeks for the Stormers, said his side adapted well to the slippery and wet conditions.

"I think we started off a bit slow," Bekker said.

"We tried to throw the ball around a bit, but that didn't work in these conditions."

"So we relied on our defence."
