All Blacks and Chiefs loose forward Tanerau Latimer has signed a new deal with the Super Rugby pace-setters that will keep him in Waikato until 2014.
The twenty-five-year-old openside flanker won four All Black Test caps in 2009 is an important part of the Chiefs set up.
Coach Dave Rennie says that Latimer's decision to stay in Hamilton is a huge boost for the Super Rugby franchise.
"We're really rapt. He's a top man, with exceptional work ethic and has a positive influence on our team as part of our leadership group," Rennie told NZ Newswire.
"He epitomises everything we want in a Chiefs player."
Latimer has also played or the New Zealand Maori and was part of the New Zealand Sevens team that won gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
