Waratahs centre Rob Horne has been given an off-field yellow card for a dangerous tackle on Robert Ebersohn in his team's 35-34 loss to the Cheetahs.
Horne was issued with an off-field yellow card for contravening Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous Tackling during a Super Rugby match at the weekend.
The incident occurred in the 2nd minute of the match between the Cheetahs and Waratahs played at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Saturday 26th May.
Horne tackled Cheetahs player Robert Ebersohn leading with his shoulder and without the use of arms after Ebersohn had passed the ball.
An Off-Field Yellow Card may be issued by the SANZAR Citing Commissioner for foul play incidents that are very close to, but in his opinion do not meet the Red Card threshold for Citings.
In this case the Match Officials did not act on the incident and on further review of the match footage the Citing Commissioner deemed an Off-Field Yellow Card was appropriate.
