Rebels Captain Stirling Mortlock's participation in his final Super Rugby match on Australian soil is at risk due to an injury.
Mortlock experienced soreness in his right calf following yesterday's training session, but despite this, he remains in contention to play this week.
Scans have revealed minimal damage and Mortlock will be closely monitored over the coming days.
At this stage, Mortlock is still expected to line up for what will be his final game in Australia on Friday night.
He will undergo a fitness test on Friday and the club remains confident that he will lead the team out onto AAMI Park against the Reds.
