Melbourne Rebels and Wallabies winger Cooper Vuna has extended his Super Rugby contract with the Melbourne franchise for another two seasons.

The twenty-five-year-old winger played in 14 of the Rebels 16 matches and in the last two seasons has been the Rebels leading try scorer.

The New Zealand born winger's manager Peter Jess said that Vuna was delighted to be able to remain in Melbourne.

"He is pleased. It is a platform for him to get back into the Wallabies squad," Jess told WAToday.

"It is an exciting time for him. It is the fittest he has been. He has performed very well on the track and the club is very pleased with him."

Vuna was called up for the Wallabies in June and made his debut against Wales in Brisbane and played in Melbourne the following week but was not selected for the end of year tour.
